- Modelling of microbial metabolism and processes (E.coli, Pichia, Saccharomyces)
- Proteolysis of recombinant proteins in E. coli and Pichia pastoris
- Physiological responses induced by scale-up of microbial processes
- Comparative study of production of plant derived proteins in E. coli, Pichia and plant cells.
- Co-ordinator of the EC Framework V project "Electric DNA-chips for bioprocess monitoring"
